 I want to thank you for visiting the City of McAlester’s website and for your interest in our organization.  If you would like additional information about the City, please feel free to contact us.

If you have viewed our website, you will notice that the form of government in McAlester is Council-Manager.  In this form of government, the City Council appoints the City Manager.  The City Manager, in turn, serves at the pleasure of the Council. 

As City Manager, I am charged with seeing that the policies of the City Council are carried out.  In addition, I act as the Chief Executive Officer of the City government.  In that role, I am responsible for making sure that all City services are provided as effectively and efficiently as possible.   Fortunately, I have an Administrative Team of dedicated professionals, who themselves are assisted by many City employees to bring quality services to our residents.

In addition to my operational responsibility, I am also tasked with advising the City Council on matters of policy.  In that role, I, and my Administrative Team, routinely provide the City Council with various reports.  One such report is my Weekly Report to the City Council, which is also made available to the general public via this website.

In closing, I encourage you to learn more about the City of McAlester in general and the City organization in particular.  And, I encourage you to become involved in McAlester, if you are not already.
