B.J. Boatright, Recreation Supervisor for the City of McAlester is responsible for all the activities at the J.I. Stipe Recreation Center.  He has been with the City over 30 years.

  
       
 

The J.I. Stipe Recreation Center is a Community Facility with a Gymnasium for Basketball and Volley Ball, a Racket Ball Court, and Men's and Women's Exercise Rooms with showers and saunas.

  
       
  We offer Men's and Women's Basketball leagues in the fall and Women's and Coed Volleyball leagues in the spring.  Sign-ups for basketball leagues begin in October and volleyball leagues begin in February.  
       
 

The Gymnasium, Conference Room, and Cafeteria are available for rent for meetings or special events.
