MEETING DATE: The Planning Commission meets monthly on the 3rd Tuesday at 7:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers, Municipal Building. The Planning Commission is composed of 15 members, nominated by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council. Members must be residents of the City and are appointed because of their knowledge or experience pertaining to the physical, social and economic development of the City. Members are appointed for overlapping three-year terms, five (5) being appointed each year, and they serve without compensation. A Chairman, Vice-Chairman and Secretary-Treasurer are elected from the Commission by the appointive members. The Commission is responsible to and acts in an advisory capacity to the City Council. The Mayor and Assistant City Manager are Ex-Officio members of the Commission. |
