The authority shall provide funds for the costs of financing, acquiring, constructing, installing, equipping, repairing, remodeling, improving, extending, enlarging, maintaining, operating, administering, and disposing of or otherwise dealing with any of the hospital physical properties and facilities.
Composition
The initial trustees shall be nine persons and shall serve, respectively, for fixed terms of one through six years, inclusive, from March 1, 1977, and shall continue to serve until their successors shall have qualified. Each of these successors shall serve for fixed terms of six calendar years. At no time shall there be more than three trustees who are active practitioners of the medical arts. Six-year term citizen members shall serve for a term of two years, after which they shall be eligible for reappointment for an additional two-year term. Citizen members having served two consecutive terms are ineligible for reappointment for a period of one year. To provide for continuity, terms shall be staggered where practical.
