Building Inspections and Permitting
The Building Division provides permitting services and building inspections for construction activities within the City of McAlester. The Building Division issues permits and reviews plans for all residential and commercial construction projects.
Applications for permits may be printed and mailed or applied for by clicking the online version.

Before beginning any work, it is always best to check with the Building Division to see if a permit is required for the project you have in mind. All contractors, journeymen and apprentices must be licensed / registered by the State of Oklahoma and must be licensed with the City of McAlester before working within in the City.
