Rotary Park
Located at 801 North Ninth Street, this is an 8-acre community park with a ¾-mile paved walking / jogging track and is adjacent to the McAlester Regional Health Center and the J.I. Stipe Recreation Center of the City of McAlester.
This Park contains the Elmer Hale Amphitheater, which will seat 400 as well as the Debra Saunier Pond. There is a covered picnic pavilion with tables, benches, electricity, running water, gazebo, swimming pool, bathrooms and BBQ grill. In addition, this park has a fenced-in playground by the pavilion. On the north side of the park is the Rotary House for family members of patients in the hospital who need temporary housing.
Rotary Park is also home to the start of the Buffalo Run disc golf course, a beautiful 18-hole course with slight rolling hills, water hazards such as ponds, canals and creeks, playing in and out of tree lines with concrete tee-pads, all free to the public.
