Administration
The City of McAlester Utilities Department provides many of the basic services that affect the daily lives of everyone who lives and works in McAlester. Primarily, the department is responsible for many things we take for granted on a daily basis. This includes the production and distribution of over two billion gallons of water per year and the treatment of over one billion gallons per year of wastewater. It also includes the repair and maintenance of over 1,000 water line breaks per year, as well as sewer line repair and maintenance.
