TRANSMISSION LINE BREAK REPAIRED AS WATER TOWERS LEVELS BEGIN TO RISE

City crews completed a 24-inch water valve installation late Thursday evening to isolate the break that was caused after fixing an earlier break on the same line. Water continues to move into town from the water plant. In the meantime, pressure is increasing in the water towers and residents -- both city and those in rural water districts -- could begin to see their water pressure increasing gradually. Customers should see a return to normal pressure within a few days. Residents are asked to conserve as much water as possible to allow the flow to reach other residents and refill water towers. We apologize for any inconvenience.
