Workforce

Workforce retention, attraction, and development are vital for the success of modern businesses. Oklahoma and its communities are actively working to increase the amount of labor available to businesses by promoting workforce participation, eliminating educational barriers, and fostering career readiness in current and future generations.

Oklahoma Works
The Governor's Council for Workforce and Economic Development established a new state initiative, Oklahoma Works, to meet the state's future workforce needs by aligning educational and technology institutions, the business community, and state resources. Oklahoma Works is currently finalizing a list of best practices and policies for workforce development.
