Citizen involvement is critical to the City of McAlester and the most valuable thing citizens can contribute to the community is their time and energy. Numerous boards and committees are comprised of citizen volunteers to help guide the City Council and staff on a variety of important topics.  If you would like more information regarding a board or commission, contact the City Clerk. 

Appointments & Re-Appointments
Vacancies and re-appointments are approved by the City Council upon recommendation of the Mayor. If you are interested in serving the community on a board or commission, you may submit an application form.
